FROM THE BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE
On November 10th, a hardy group gathered at the empty lot for some work.
The crew was small but the task was large - and did get done. The lot is cleaner, dead plants are gone (well, waiting for pickup), and a large bucket of debris is gone.
Thanks, Fred Biven, Norn Goetz, Richard Goodsell, Bill Gunderson, Jan Morgan, and John Morgan,. And thanks to Veral and Lulu who couldnt work Thursday but offered to help later.
The Beautification crew,
Mike Askerman and Carol Claton

Drive slowly in the neighborhood, even if the streets seem empty. It will only cost you a few seconds. NEW flashing speed limit signs have been installed to instruct drivers to stay at 20 mph.
Owners voted not install speed bumps in 2017 . In November, 2020, the Board sent another survey to Owners to solicit opinions . Speed bumps were ruled out however better street striping and flashing stop signs were recommended.

Safety Precautions. We got you covered.
During this time of Covid-19 these include handwashing, masks and social distancing. However, some of us may need outside contacts to check up on us to insure we have not fallen victim to a sudden illness. The Green Valley Sheriff's Auxilliary Volunteers, SAV, provide just such a service through "TELECARE". Please see their flyer below and call if you would like to use this very helpful service. They also perform home checks.

TRASHY NEWS: Did you know DR HOA has a contract with Republic Services for trash and recycle pickups. All owners who use trash and recycle services must use Republic so that we get the reduced rate and limit the number of heavy trucks on our streets. Trash & Recycle pickup is on Thursday mornings weekly. Please put your bins out early Thursday morning....not the night before due to aggressive javelinas making messes.
Call Republic before 4:30 if your trash was not picked up. They will give you a new pickup date. Also, you need to have the missed service noted on your account.
